![]() In a nutshell do exactly this^ when you are getting on and planning to use steam VR with an oculus, open up your oculus app on your PC, open up steam, when you turn on your Quest, press and hold the power button and the minus volume buttom for a few seconds it should bring up like an option to turn on your device and some other options, turn it on that way everytime youre going to use SteamVR because itll ask you if you want to allow the device(your PC) to access data on the headset, click yes. This is credited to Atropos148, found it in a similar thread. ![]() Hope this helps! posted by SeatedTurtle:The issue i'm having is that I will run virtual desktop through my quest 2, and normally it would would run fine, but seemingly out of the blue, steam vr now claims it can't detect my headset, everything is up to date and i'm not sure how to fix this issue It should read your headset if everything is up to date. Itll take you to the PCVR home version of your oculus, once thats done, THEN open Steam VR. then go in your settings in your oculus, make sure it shows the link, for me it says RIFT LINK, click on that, then click launch. ![]() That is the only way i found to use Quest 2 as a PC headset. Then you turn on the Quest, it asks if you want to use Oculus Link, say yes and then the interface for Oculus Link comes up, then you start the Steam VR app. You have to have the Oculus app running as well as Steam. ![]() Originally posted by SeatedTurtle:The issue i'm having is that I will run virtual desktop through my quest 2, and normally it would would run fine, but seemingly out of the blue, steam vr now claims it can't detect my headset, everything is up to date and i'm not sure how to fix this issue ![]()
